Diablo 4 Players Want Summoning Materials Removed

Many Diablo 4 players are asking Blizzard to remove summoning materials because grinding them is so tedious at the moment. After unlocking World Tier 3 and 4 in the game, Diablo 4 players will collect items, including Shards of Agony, Mucus-Slick Eggs, and Living Steel, to summon endgame bosses that offer a real combat challenge. These summoning materials are gathered from Tree of Whispers, World Bosses, Tortured Gifts in Helltides, and high-tier Nightmare Dungeons.

Aside from world bosses and elite enemies, there are endgame bosses in Diablo 4, which can be summoned using rare materials. These five creatures, Echo of Varshan, Beast in Ice, Duriel, Grigiore, and Lord Zir, require some prior preparation, as they are much stronger than enemies encountered in the overworld and lower-tier dungeons. Perhaps it would be wise to consume elixirs to have extra survivability or damage. Thankfully, endgame bosses drop a number of ancestral items players can utilize to upgrade their builds.

Many players in the comments supported hanckerchiff's idea, with some claiming that it's so boring having to complete Diablo 4's Nightmare Dungeons and other activities to farm summoning materials.

Fellow Diablo 4 players indicated that, like in Diablo 2, they should be able to kill these endgame bosses over and over for drops without needing to use summoning materials. It remains to be seen if Blizzard will make the necessary changes to them in a future update.

Among all endgame bosses, Echo of Duriel is by far the strongest due to its incredible poison damage. Therefore, players need to get extra poison
