Black Myth: Wukong - How To Find & Beat Guangmou

One of the mandatory bosses you have to beat in is Guangmou, a master of wind you find as early as Chapter 1. This well-spoken martial artist wields a single fan with great power over the wind itself, creating a chaotic battlefield. The sheer variety of attacks implemented by this boss makes them a challenging opponent during the early stages of your journey.

Guangmou is encountered within the Bamboo Grove in Chapter 1 as you make your way toward Black Wind Mountain. Before you reach this boss, you can try to defeat a number of other optional ones throughout the area for extra rewards. For example, defeating the Wandering Wight in the Grove gives you a new spirit transformation that may be useful against Guangmou in.

One important mechanic in this Black Myth: Wukong Staff Stance is confusing due to an unfortunate typo, but luckily, it still works incredibly well.

Since you fight Guangmou in Chapter 1, you won't have nearly as many resources or upgrades available compared to later sections of the story. However, you can still defeat enemies in the Bamboo Grove over and over to farm Will and grow stronger. You can use the currency and materials dropped from basic enemies to buy useful items or craft better armor in to raise your defenses.

You may not have enough materials to make a new staff by the time you reach Guangmou, but you should be able to farm enemies near Keeper Shrines to start crafting stronger armor.

Despite his command over the wind, Guangmou also likes to use attacks that inflict Poison build-up during the boss fight. When you are afflicted with Poison, you slowly lose health over time. You need to have ways to cure Poison in while fighting Guangmou, either through consumables like Antimiasma Powder or through an upgraded drink within your healing Gourd.

You need a Jade Lotus and Tree Pearl to craft Antimiasma Powder, so try to interact with nature to pick up the materials you need. Have at least a few of these consumables on hand to remove Poison
