Black Myth: Wukong - How To Find & Beat Cyan Loong (Secret Boss)

If you’re playing , then you'll know there are plenty of optional bosses to stumble upon. Not to mention the presence of several yaoguai chiefs that less curious players can easily miss. Take the Four Loongs, for example. These tough and unique enemies appear in the first four chapters of the game, but only if the Destined One has seized the Loong Scales. Chapter Three is where Cyan Loong can be found, but prepared for a significant challenge.

Even with the Loong Scales in possession, it can be difficult to locate the Loong chiefs. drops hints when the Destined One is close to Loong boss arenas. For example, dialogue can be heard or seen on screen when the Monkey is close to an arena. For Cyan Loong, however, this boss simply appears on Turtle Island in Chapter Three, peacefully fishing in isolation until its peace is disturbed.

Before taking on the Loongs, the Destined One must defeat the optional boss, Wandering Wight, in chapter one. This can be done at any point. Collect the spirit of Wandering Wight and advance to Chapter Two.

In the Valley of Despair, the First Prince of Flowing Sands can be found after defeating the giant rat’s brother and father in combat. Notice that there is a suspicious-looking wall in the arena. Activate the Wandering Wight spirit next to the wall to smash open a passageway. In a chest, you’ll find the Loong Scales. Now, two secret areas can be accessed in the opening chapters of .

An NPC called the Treasure Hunter is tied to a special side quest in Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong, leading to a secret boss for rare rewards.

As optional boss fights, the Loong chiefs can be sought out at any point in the Destined One’s journey. One Loong is placed in each of the first four chapters. After collecting the Loong Scales, the only prerequisites to finding Cyan Loong are defeating the Yellow Wind Sage in Chapter Two and progressing to Turtle Island in Chapter Three.
