Baldur’s Gate 3 Update 7 Is Out Next Week, Adding Official Mods and New Cinematics

Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 update, which has a lot of fans hyped up, is set to debut on PC in the first week of September, as revealed by Larian at PAX West.

The upcoming Update 7 on BG3 is expected to feature several changes, chiefly the introduction of official mod support. PC players have been able to enjoy unofficial mods since the game's early access, but now tools to make better mods will be available, and eventually, mods are coming to consoles, too. Our goal is to do cross-platform modding support. It's not the easiest thing in the world because we have to make it work on consoles and on PC. We'll start with the PC version, while the console version will come a bit later because it has to go through a bunch of submission processes. It also gives us the time to see whatever goes wrong and fix it so we get everything right for consoles.

However, the most anticipated change among fans is the inclusion of detailed cinematics of evil endings for every Origin character. Fortunately, we now have an idea of when Baldur's Gate 3 next big patch will be released, and according to Larian's Studio Head, Swen Vincke, fans can expect it to drop in the first week of September.
