Apple Watch X Will Be A Bigger Upgrade Than Initially Expected, Slated To Feature A Bigger Display With A Thinner Profile And A Ceramic Variant

The iPhone 16 launch event is right around the corner, and the company is gearing up to introduce a plethora of upgrades for a handful of devices. While the iPhone 16 will be the highlight of the event, the new Apple Watch Series 10 or Apple Watch X is reported to come with a significant redesign as well, given how the wearable is now a decade old.

Apple Watch X to come with a major design change, expected to follow the Apple Watch Ultra guidelines

The Apple Watch's 10th anniversary could bring something new for users, and a design overhaul has been reported for a while now. A tipster shared details on the Apple Watch Series 10 or X based on what he was told from his sources. It was recently reported that the forthcoming model could come with a slightly bigger display, which could be thanks to the trimmed-down bezels. As per the information obtained from the tipster, the Apple Watch X will come in two new sizes - 42mm and 46mm, but the display will remain curved, unlike the Apple Watch Ultra.

It appears that Apple will take design cues from its highest-end Apple Watch Ultra, as the Series 10 is reported to come with a speaker design with holes instead of straight lines. The overall profile of the wearable will be thinner than the current versions but a bit rounder to match the bands seamlessly. Other than this, the leaker also believes that Apple will let go of the stainless steel version for good and replace it with a titanium finish, similar to the iPhone 16 Pro models.

The gold color of the Apple Watch will be similar to the iPhone 16 Pro and it is speculated that the tint will be very light this year. Possibly, the company will release the Apple Watch X in gold, black, starlight, and the natural titanium color. Lastly, the leaker also claims that the company could offer a ceramic version of the Apple Watch, which could be priced higher than the standard variants.
