Animal Crossing is Getting More Official LEGO Sets This Year

Animal Crossing and LEGO have revealed a pair of new LEGO kits coming based on the game franchise that will start releasing on August 1. The two Animal Crossing sets bring in some iconic characters from the series that fans love.

Animal Crossing fans love customizing and terraforming their own towns and islands, and it seems the game and LEGO are a good pairing, based on past releases. These are only the two most recent Animal Crossing and LEGO sets, with the prior kits having rapidly sold out.

Animal Crossing fans should keep that in mind with regards to the upcoming Town Hall and Dodo Airlines releases, as the presence of K.K. Slider, Isabelle, and other popular villagers will likely be enough for these kits to follow their predecessors' sale experiences. The first kit is centered around Animal Crossing's town center, which pictures Isabelle, K.K. Slider, and Audie front and center in minifig form. In addition to the town center itself, the scene also features a truck, foliage, a meal stand, message board, and a platform for K.K. Slider to perform on.

The Dodo Airlines LEGO Kit, on the other hand, is centered around the Animal Crossing dock that players would go to when they wanted to fly out of their town or to welcome in others who had just arrived. This scene pictures Wilbur the Dodo and villager Tangy, the dock, a small plane, and the lobby that players go to when entering or exiting a village in Animal Crossing. Tangy is even pictured holding a ticket, apparently ready to go on an adventure.

Unfortunately, at this time, there's no precise details on how much they will cost. Previous entries to the series have ranged from $15 to $75 depending upon the complexity of the kits and how many LEGO pieces they contain. However, fans can look forward to collecting them in the summer, as LEGO has teased August 1 as when the K.K. Slider kit will arrive. It's not clear if the airport kit will be landing in stores at the same time, but chances are it won't be far behind
