AMD Targets Intel Core i5 With $269 Ryzen 7 8700F & $169 Ryzen 5 8400F APUs, Up To 24% Faster Gaming Performance

AMD has officially launched its Ryzen 7 8700F & Ryzen 5 8400F APUs for DIY which target the Intel Core i5 mainstream CPU lineup.

AMD's Ryzen 7 8700F & Ryzen 5 8400F APUs Officially Launched In Global Retail For $269 & $169 US, Respectively

The AMD Ryzen 7 8700F & Ryzen 5 8400F are going to be the latest "Hawk Point" APU entries from Team Red. These APUs are equipped with the same Zen 4 CPU core architecture but lack the RDNA 3 iGPU core which means that they are technically just CPUs with limited capabilities than the "G" SKUs. However, in marketing slides, AMD touts the Ryzen 8000F APUs to include an RDNA 3 iGPU but that isn't exactly true & the chips require a separate discrete graphics card for GPU capabilities. Following are the main retail links for the APUs:
