The AMD Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs are now nearing their one-year launch cycle. They hit retail back in the first half of 2023 and have been very popular options among gamers, especially the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is one of the best-selling gaming chips across all X3D and even the entire current available CPU options. It has outsold the entire Intel 13th and 14th Gen lineup and continues to be the main attraction that can pull AM4 owners to the newer AM5 socket.

Also, the recent 2027+ AM5 commitment will push even more AM4 users to think twice about sticking to their older platform or switching to the newer one which has received support for Zen 5-powered Ryzen 9000 CPUs.

But it looks like things are about to change. While AMD will be launching the Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" CPUs for AM5 desktops in July (hard launch), it looks like the company is already prepping for its next-gen 3D V-Cache chips as the Ryzen 9000X3D series. These chips have been teased to feature some cool upgrades and more options. In our previous report, we mentioned that the X3D Zen 5 lineup is aiming for the late Q3 or early Q4 launch window and it looks like Club386 seems to agree with this.

It is stated by the source that AMD will be introducing its Ryzen 9000X3D "3D V-cache" CPUs in late Q3 (September) which is two months after the launch of the Non-X3D SKUs. It will be interesting if this is an actual retail launch or announcement but regardless, AM5 builders won't have to wait too long to get their hands on the newest 3D V-Cache parts.
