The group earned their nickname thanks to their founder, Nicole, who is known to be especially clever. Despite being smart on the battlefield, Nicole isn’t too wise with her money, and the Hares often struggle with debt.

Other members of the Cunning Hares include Billy Kid, an eccentric cyborg who is obsessed with a TV show called Starlight Knight, and Anby Demara a young and talented fighter who was taken in by Nicole. Nicole also has an unhealthy relationship with media, often having trouble differentiating between what she sees in movies and real life. The final member (as of now) is Nekomata, a literal cat girl who has a special love for mackerel.
