All Your Issues With The First Descendant Just Got Fixed

is a game that is enjoyed by tens of thousands of players each day, and a community of that size has plenty of feedback. Luckily, Nexon, the game's developer, listens to that community feedback. This is shown by their most recent hotfix, 1.0.7, which was released on August 13, 2024.

Rather than adding new content like Descendants or weapons, 1.0.7 focuses on improving some of the game's systems. Changes have been made to multiplayer, equipment, and the UI. These changes, in addition to several bug fixes, may have frustrated some players.

The First Descendant tries to build up its first major boss as intimidating, but their name and the mechanics of the fight itself are a let down.

is a game that is centered around farming gear and materials with small drop chances, and while this adds replayability, it also has the unfortunate side effect of encouraging some toxic behavior in multiplayer matches. The most obvious issue that players will run into on a regular basis is players joining a mission and immediately going AFK, leaving the rest of the players to pick up the slack while still reaping the rewards. Luckily, 1.0.7 addresses this issue, at least for special operations.

Now, when players go AFK on The First Descendant's special operations, they will automatically abort the mission at the interim reward screen.

When players reach an interim round during a special operation, they receive additional rewards and have the option to continue the mission or abort it. This option is on a 30-second timer, and if all players choose to continue, the time is shortened to 5 seconds. AFK players then cause additional frustration by forcing other players to wait longer to start the next round. Now, when players go AFK on special operations, they will automatically abort the mission at the interim reward screen.
