Over the years, Path of Exile has become a solid action role-playing game, as developer Grinding Gear Games has done everything it could to listen to players' feedback and improve their game as much as possible. Its sequel, Path of Exile 2, seems to be going in a similar direction, addressing the remaining issues that couldn't be addressed in the now-dated original to provide players with a hardcore action role-playing game experience that could potentially rival that of the more popular Diablo series.
Diablo 4 is getting another PTR to let players run the rule of Vessel of Hatred's content, but Blizzard warns that "things will be broken," and more so than usual.
’s 2.0 update is getting ready to enter the Public Test Realm (PTR), and its changes are so substantial that some players have said it feels like a brand-new game. The changes are meant to address some complaints with the game’s current leveling system and introduce some features from previous games that fans liked. There will also be added content like some new Mythic Unique weapons to help enhance players’ gear, and players can test this content in the PTR from September 4–11.
The expansion is slated for release this October, bringing with it a myriad of exciting new features, areas, and improvements to the title. The upcoming addition reintroduces the jungle-like realm of Nahantu, which was first seen in, as well as the class Spiritborn. Meant for the late-game, players will need to complete the original storyline at least once before moving on to the expansion that continues the story of Mephisto.
The original Borderlands was the first game to popularize the looter shooter genre that mixes first-person shooting with the satisfying loot grind of Diablo 4. While many other games, such as Destiny 2 and The First Descendant, have taken the genre in the live-service direction, the Borderlands games have remained focused on the core single and co-op experience. Borderlands 3 in particular is a far better experience playing with friends than alone. Since it came out at such an odd time, this game is spread across not only all consoles, but also multiple generations. That means it has a lot more work to do if it is going to be a fully cross-platform game. Let’s see if it manages to bring all the systems together, or id ut leaves some on their own like Valorant.
Blizzard isn't quite done transforming Diablo 4 into an entirely different action RPG than it was when it launched. The current leveling process from 1 to 100 is going straight into the trash with its next update and will be replaced by an entirely new framework for how you progress your character.
Diablo IV's next expansion isn't far away, with the release date being officially set for October 8, 2024. However, before that happens, players will experience Diablo IV on the PTR (Public Test Realm) from September 4 through September 11. In this version of the PTR, players will experience the new character progression, which has experienced many changes. There are also major updates to the loot system, such as the Paragon systems and new Difficulty Tiers.
