Just over a week after Microsoft abruptly shuttered four studios—Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Games, and Roundhouse Games—Microsoft-owned Activision has announced the launch of a new internal studio called Elsewhere Entertainment, «exclusively focused on creating a new narrative-based and genre-defining AAA franchise.»

Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke recently discussed various topics in an interview published by GamesIndustry. The director of Baldur's Gate 3 talked about avoiding overlap with Bethesda's Starfield (Larian's game launched in early August on PC, while Starfield was released in early September) and his respect for the studio.
A senior CD Projekt Red official has gone on record to state that the studio doesn't believe microtransactions have a place in single-player games. And while that move effectively reiterated the company's long-standing stance on game monetization, CD Projekt Red isn't entirely ruling out the possibility of implementing microtransactions in the future.
