The latest update for may not fundamentally alter any aspects of the game but it is frustrating for certain players who prefer experiencing the narrative with the help of some third-party add-ons. Ever since CD Projekt Red released the highly-anticipated RPG in 2020 the studio has actively pushed out patches to fix what was widely considered to be an unfinished product due to the number of bugs and glitches that plagued the project. The most recent hotfix solves one very common issue but at the cost of installed mods.
Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update was a huge overhaul for the game's RPG systems, arriving hand-in-hand with the stellar expansion Phantom Liberty. But you might've noticed that a lot of the post-launch patches were substantially less crunchy. A fully-functioning metro system, better romances—in other words, flavour and fluff.
has introduced many new features in the years since its launch, with the most recent updates overhauling some elements of the game entirely, such as the Cyberware system, car chases, and some of the enemy AI and boss battles. Despite these improvements, which have been well-received by players, there is still one major component that seems to be surprisingly lacking in comparison to other RPGs: the customization tools.
I won't lie to you, folks, this one's niche. Positively infinitesimal. So small it might slip between the gaps in an atom. But I think it's interesting, so here we are.
