Yet Another Unexpected Game is Leaving PS Plus Extra This Month

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is set to leave PlayStation Plus' Extra tier catalog within the month of May 2024. The remake of developer Big Huge Games' classic action RPG will soon depart from the PlayStation Plus library in addition to the 25 titles already scheduled to disappear from the service throughout the coming weeks.

Many fans were saddened when the PlayStation Plus catalog revealed it was saying goodbye to a variety of beloved games from its Extra and Essential collections, which included several beloved classic JRPG titles. Previous reports additionally noted Guerrilla Games' formerly PlayStation-exclusive title Horizon Zero Dawn is also leaving the PS Plus lineup by May 21, which surprised many fans who were familiar with the series and the level of support it received from publisher and PlayStation manufacturer Sony. Unfortunately for PlayStation owners, it seems another beloved game will be bidding farewell to the PS Plus catalog.

Online users noticed the PlayStation store page for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning contained a message stating that developer Kaiko's remaster of the beloved action RPG would be leaving PlayStation Plus Premium. Reddit user Inevitable-Middle412 shared a picture of the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning store page on the PlayStation Plus subreddit, which seemingly confirmed the game would be dropped from the service by May 21. However, several commenters pointed out that Kingdoms of Amalur was notably not one of the titles included in the Leaving Soon page for PlayStation Plus, which further confused fans and left some users wondering if this might have been a mistake.

While many fans were saddened to hear that the May 2024 PS Plus catalog will no longer offer Kingdoms of Amalur, some fans were also confused about why the game was not included in the list of 25 games scheduled to leave PS Plus. Some fans were annoyed with the omission, with users asking why they didn't hear the news from the official PS Plus page. Others
