Underrated Xbox and PC exclusive could be coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch soon. Amid rumors of upcoming ports for several Xbox exclusives, there's a lot of speculation about which games might be first in line. Many have thrown out lofty titles, big releases like,, or the newly announced. It'd be a welcome surprise to see any of those titles on a wider range of platforms, but as it turns out, the greatest Xbox exclusives are unexpected hidden gems.

According to , the first two Xbox exclusives set for PS5 and Switch releases later this year are and . Developed by Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment respectively, these are a rhythmic beat-em-up and a medieval murder mystery. They're both easily slotted into recognizable genres, but they put new twists on their conventions. They're full of surprises, and hard to put down. The first thing most will notice about is its stunning art style. Rendered in the lavishly colorful, incessantly adorned style of an illuminated manuscript, it looks less like a point-and-click adventure game and more like a museum piece. It follows Andreas Maler, a painter of such manuscripts, as he traverses three stages of his life during a turbulent era of history. In Act One, it's 1518 in Tassing, a small village in the Holy Roman Empire. The old world stands on the verge of collapse, and a new world rumbles slowly to life.
