Xbox Game Pass Is Delisting One Of Its Best Xbox Exclusives

While it may be highly regarded by racing fans, won't be around for much longer as the game is being delisted on all platforms. Released back in 2018, the fourth entry in the beloved open-world franchise has garnered a stellar reputation for its gameplay that seamlessly blends the philosophies of arcade and simulation racing with environments that drip with detail and photorealistic vistas. It may have been succeeded by but the natural racetracks of Great Britain have stuck with the community longer than many may have expected.

As announced by the account via an official post on X (formerly Twitter), those who have yet to grab a copy of will want to do so quickly because the game will no longer be available on digital platforms from December 15, 2024.

Perhaps most surprising is that some content has already been blocked as the DLC expansions and are both being delisted on June 26, the day of publication. Those who have yet to grab the add-ons can still do so but they will need to shell out for the Ultimate Edition which includes them and the base game in a single bundle.

Microsoft revealed gameplay for 2023's Forza Motorsport. Judging by some of its features, the game will have Red Dead Redemption 2 levels of detail.

While developer Playground Games has yet to offer any specifics into why is being delisted, it has confirmed that the expiry of licensing agreements is the core problem at play. In terms of what this means for content, these licenses could involve deals with vehicle brands to include specific cars in the game. It could also have something to do with the soundtrack which largely comprises songs licensed for record labels, publishers, and musicians.

Whatever the case may be, those who have already purchased the game needn't worry as they'll still have access to everything they normally would. Despite the delisting, all offline and online functions will continue normally, meaning multiplayer will still be an option for racers who enjoy challenging
