X-Men '97 Directors Tease Potential MCU Reboot in Response to Fan Demands

X-Men ’97 directors have finally broken silence on rumors about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe and rebooting the mutant saga for the big screen.

With the debut of X-Men '97 on Disney+, the excitement is palpable, and fans are thrilled with the first season's success. As anticipation builds, all eyes are on the upcoming MCU reboot of the beloved mutant superheroes. Although details about the upcoming movie has been kept under wraps, fans have been suggesting that Marvel Studios should collaborate with the creative minds behind the animated series for the upcoming reboot. Furthermore, it appears that the creators of the Disney+ series are ready to make a significant leap forward.

Speaking in an interview with Screen Rant, Emi Yonemura and Chase Conley, who helmed several episodes of X-Men ’97 season one, have made it clear that they will never say no to becoming a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Conley said, “If that's a call that we get, at some point, I'm gonna pick the phone up, for sure.” Meanwhile, Yonemura noted that helming a big-screen adaptation like X-Men would be a “good challenge.” Yonemura noted, “I would never say no to that phone call because I love a good challenge, and I love trying new things.”

Although no conversation has yet taken place, Conley and Yonemura seem to be the best choices for helming the upcoming reboot. X-Men ’97 has received universal acclaim due to its faithful adaptation of the beloved ‘90s animated series, capturing the essence of the original while delivering fresh content for the ardent fans and newcomers alike. Additionally, the decision to explore complex themes like social issues gave the series much-needed depth and relevance. That only helped in making the series a roaring success for Disney+. The series also took the bold route of introducing a non-binary character in the animated series. Although the character went on to become really popular, it faced a lot of backlash from the audience.

There is no doubt
