WWE 2K24 Confirms 18 Showcase Matches

WWE 2K24 has released a new trailer confirming 18 of the 21 matches that will be featured in this year's Showcase mode. WWE 2K22's Showcase mode was themed after Rey Mysterio, while WWE 2K23 had players reliving some of John Cena's most memorable defeats. The upcoming WWE 2K24, meanwhile, is celebrating 40 years of WrestleMania with its Showcase mode, the aptly-named Showcase of the Immortals.

Previous trailers had hinted at the matches that would be featured in WWE 2K24's Showcase of the Immortals, but only 10 were confirmed at the time. It was clarified by the developers that WWE 2K24's Showcase mode will have 21 matches, so fans have been waiting to see what else would make the cut. The full list of WWE 2K24 Showcase mode matches has not been revealed, but a new trailer has now confirmed 18 of the 21 matches that fans can look forward to when the game launches on March 8.

In addition to the 10 previously announced matches, WWE fans can now look forward to reliving Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan from WrestleMania 5, Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper from WrestleMania 8, Steve Austin vs. The Rock from WrestleMania 17, Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle from WrestleMania 20, Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins from WrestleMania 31, Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch from WrestleMania 35, Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena from WrestleMania 36, and Kevin Owens vs. Steve Austin from WrestleMania 38.

According to The SmackDown Hotel, three Showcase matches have yet to be confirmed, but speculation points to Hulk Hogan and Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff with Muhammad Ali as the Special Guest Referee from WrestleMania 1, Kane vs. Triple H from WrestleMania 15, and Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania 21. It's possible that the remaining three WWE 2K24 Showcase matches will be completely different from those, though, so fans will just have to wait for the official announcement to be sure.
