World of Warcraft Removes Important Feature from Mists of Pandaria Event

World of Warcraft quietly removed a part of the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria announcement that said it was adding new character slots to each player’s account. While this likely won’t affect many fans, those who already have 60 characters on their World of Warcraft account might want to make room before Patch 10.2.7 launches.

Recently, World of Warcraft announced WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. This limited-time PvE event allows players to experience Mists of Pandaria with modern class balance and convenience, gain experience at a faster rate, and unlock tons of new and hard-to-get cosmetics in the process.

However, World of Warcraft just made a change to this inaugural Remix event that players should be aware of. In Blizzard’s original announcement blog, WoW said “Additional character slots will be available so that you have room for your new fully leveled and fully geared hero to join you in your continuing adventures through the Worldsoul Saga.” World of Warcraft later quietly removed this section of the announcement, indicating it no longer has plans to increase character slots on each server.

Technically speaking, Blizzard could still have plans to add these new character slots alongside other changes coming in World of Warcraft Patch 10.2.7, but considering the removed text, fans should not get their hopes up. While the majority of players don’t have 60 characters on their accounts – and many that do don't have them all at maximum level already – some “altaholics” will likely need to bid farewell to at least one of their existing characters.
