World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria Sends Players Back to One of the Game's Best Expansions in a New Limited Time Event

The nostalgia hits keep on coming with World of Warcraft as Blizzard is not only adding Cataclysm to World of Warcraft: Classic, but also kicking off a new time-limited event that will feature arguably one of the game’s most well-received expansions: 2012’s Mists of Pandaria.

The event is titled World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria and will be available to all current subscribers simply by installing WoW’s modern (live) game client.  Players joining the event will level at an accelerated pace from starting from level 10 through 70.

The game’s loot has been reworked with “powerful new effects” and should be readily available through quests, chests, monsters, and bosses. These new items can be further customized with spell gem sockets whose effects are similar to the ones players would find on trinkets.

This event isn’t a self-contained experience, either. Players can unlock a number of new transmogs when playing through the event and take those transmogs (as well as their event characters) with them into WoW’s next expansion, The War Within, when it releases later this year. Event characters will be converted to standard characters once the event concludes, so players can continue their adventures without missing a step.
