World of Tanks Blitz Marks 10 Years, $1 Billion in Revenue, With a Summer Filled With Events and Free Gifts

World of Tanks Blitz is marking  it's 10th anniversary with gifts and a summer of celebration for all, with event missions, new tanks, free containers, and much more to enjoy.

Wargaming announced the months of celebration in a press release, along with details. They tout more than 180 million global registered players and more than $1 billion in revenue over the years. Blitz began as a mobile-only title with eight maps and three nations has evolved into a cross-play successful AAA title available on multiple platforms, with more than 30 maps and 500+ tanks. So, with all that, the gifts are for the dedicated community.

The season-long celebration has begun, and in June, you can get your hands on a new Tier VIII tank, and some other Tier X tanks. How about a free container? Claim it before June 30th and get the Blasteroid tank, a new avatar, and profile background.

The Rewind event is already on through June 28th. Participate in this event for a trip down memory lane. Complete missions in Tier IV-X vehicles and earn yourself Snapshots. Every regular combat Mission will get you 100 of them and special comment missions are worth double. Every 1,000 snapshots you collect will unlock another event level and more rewards. On offer are a number of goodies, including the VIII Soviet K-2.

In July, the party will be space-themed and the activities will hold a cosmic theme. Returning is the Objective: Sheridan Missile event  and the Sheridan Missile tank. Wargaming is not telling just yet but they promise a collaboration with a famous sci-fi movie franchise and given that the  party in July has a cosmic theme, start your guesses now.

In August, the 10-day Mad Games event returns, along with seniority awards and another as yet to be revealed special gift to end this big 10th anniversary celebration. Looks like a summer of fun ahead for World of Tanks Blitz. After all, a decade is a pretty big deal.
