Valheim Player Creates Incredible Mountain Castle

A Valheim player has recently shared their latest work, an awesome mountain castle with several rooms. Valheim players often create bases and share the results online, and this castle stands out due to its size and how detailed its interiors are.

Originally released in early access for PC in 2021, Valheim quickly became a huge hit, surprising even its developer Iron Game Studio with its success. Over the years, the game managed to sell over 12 million copies and get an Xbox release, also becoming available on Game Pass. Part of why the title is so successful is due to how it mixes hard exploration and in-depth base-building, which allows for complex constructions.

A Valheim player called TheBoneJarmer has recently shared eight pictures of their mountain castle on r/Valheim, which sits at the top of a mountain and has several rooms and a backyard. While the huge stone castle is impressive on the outside, though, it’s even more interesting on the inside, as most rooms are well furnished and quite elegant. The base includes an entry hall, a dining hall, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a deposit. Curiously, all the boxes in the deposit are cataloged, as TheBoneJarmer keeps materials from different biomes and their trophies in separate containers.

In the comments of the post, TheBoneJarmer explained a bit more about the process of creating this castle. According to him, building the whole castle took a couple of weeks, and they had to remake some parts of it several times before they were satisfied with them. Another issue during construction was having enough heating sources to be warm at all times. The mountains are among Valheim’s hardest biomes due to the cold, and TheBoneJarmer had to be prepared for that.

This was not the only amazing base shared with the community recently, though. Earlier this week, another Valheim player shared the huge city they built with friends. The city took 270 in-game days to build and had several buildings, watchtowers, a farm, and even a port.
