Unofficial Spider-Man 2 PC Port Receives PC Requirements; RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 6800XT Recommended in 1440p

The team behind the unofficial Spider-Man 2 PC port has shared the system requirements in order to play this port in 720p, 1080p and 1440p.

A lot has been written about this unofficial PC port of Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 following a massive ransomware attack some months ago. Among other things, a PC developer build of the game leaked, and a team of modders quickly managed to reverse-engineer this build in order to get the game running on PC. Development of this unofficial PC port proceeded amazingly fast, but last month, it was announced that development on the port was stopped. Strangely enough, a couple of days after development was supposedly ceased, the unofficial PC port complete with patches dropped on the web, and users were able to fully download and play the game (albeit with a fair share of issues). At the moment of writing, the PC port is entirely playable although the port does need plenty of work.

While we won't be sharing any links to files, X user PC_Focus has now shared the system requirements of PC Brazil for this unofficial port, mentioning that the game doesn't necessarily require an SSD (although it is recommended). Looking at the port's minimal specs, PC owners will need at least a Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel i7 8700K with 16GB of RAM and either a GTX 1660 Super or Radeon RX 5500 in order to play the port at 30FPS in 720p.

To play the game in 1080p resolution at 45-60FPS, those interested will need faster memory, either a Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel i5-10400F CPU (or equivalent), and an NVIDIA RTX 2070 OC/AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU. As for playing the port in 1440p at 45 to 60FPS, players will need an NVIDIA RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU combined with either a Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel i5-12700F CPU. You'll also need speedier memory at 3600Mhz+.
