Unbelievable Orin Cosplay Looks Like Screenshots Straight Out Of BG3

Making a cosplay look just like its video game counterpart can be a truly challenging task, but one new cosplay manages to do so with a mindblowing degree of accuracy. 's generally realistic style translates well to the real world, but aside from the difficulty of replicating its intense level of detail, there can still be more involved in making a perfect replica. From the lighting to the richly designed environments, any screenshot of tends to be unmistakable.

What might come the closest to blurring those lines is an incredible Orin the Red cosplay, submitted to Reddit by the cosplayer mercurygin_. This detailed rendition mimics the unusual appearance of one of 's biggest villains, accurately conveying everything from her marbled skin to her grisly costuming.

The photoshoot goes above and beyond with a background depicting the Bhaal Temple from complete with the grinning, oversized skull set into the wall, work that's credited to Alexander Konovalenko in the Reddit post.

Maggie Robertson discusses playing Orin the Red in Baldur's Gate 3, her previous role of Lady Dimitrescu, and moral ambiguity in game narratives.

Orin the Red might be one of the hardest characters to cosplay, as the makeup and crafting necessary are obviously demanding. It's not the kind of ensemble that can be bought at the store, and mercurygin_ notes the costume as her own creation, clarifying in a comment that it's made of EVA foam and thermoplastics. The photography, which goes the extra mile in dynamic lighting that accurately mimics a half-shadowed environment from the game, is credited to MilliganVick. Whatever combination of complex setup and editing wizardry was necessary to make the shoot happen, it definitely paid off.

Whether playing Baldur's Gate 3 as a traditional adventurer or Dark Urge, find Orin The Red at Bhaal's temple to beat her and her cultists in battle.

The cosplay of Orin the Red isn't mercurygin_'s first stylish work, with other posts from the last few months
