Ubisoft Forward Returns on June 10 with the Latest on Ubisoft Games

Ubisoft Forward is returning on June 10, live from Los Angeles, the publisher announced today on Twitter. This is Ubisoft's premiere event to show updates, upcoming releases of announced games, and brand-new unannounced projects. Once, it was part of the various Electronic Entertainment Expo conferences. However, with E3 now effectively dead, it has become part of its soft replacement: Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, which starts on June 7 this year. There's no word yet on which games will be shown at Ubisoft Forward, but we can certainly speculate based on the publisher's known lineup.

First and foremost, Star Wars Outlaws, the first true open world Star Wars game by Ubisoft Massive, is undoubtedly going to be front and center during the showcase. The other major assured presence is the new Assassin's Creed game, currently codenamed Red. Set in feudal Japan, it reportedly features two playable characters, a local female samurai and an African refugee who will be trained as a shinobi. Stealth is supposed to be a greater focus in this game, even though it will still be an open world action RPG rather than a classic style Assassin's Creed game in the vein of Mirage. Assassin's Creed Red, developed at Ubisoft Quebec by a team led by Jonathan Dumont (the creative director of Odyssey), is currently scheduled to launch by the end of March 2025.

Other announced games include the remakes of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Splinter Cell, the free to play games Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland and XDefiant, and the mobile games Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile, Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, and Assassin's Creed Jade.

Of course, there's also Beyond Good and Evil 2, but to speculate its presence at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward would require divination powers we do not possess. After all, the project holds the less than enviable record for the longest development
