Ubisoft Already Fixed Several Skull and Bones Issues, Updates on In-Progress Fixes Ahead of Launch

WithSkull and Bones wrapping preorder head start and officially launching for all tomorrow, the Ubisoft Singapore team is detailing some fixes following beta feedback and testing data and what’s still on the way.

Some of the things the team has already addressed include too-high requirements for a number of contracts, resource regeneration, and server stability. Adjustments to those contracts are now in game, with the requirements back down to more reasonable levels. The Tools of the Trade contract will no longer ask for 4,294,967,126 acacia, for example. No, you weren't supposed to have to grind out four billion trees.

Speaking of acacia, too many people were cutting down the acacia trees on St Anne, so the wait for the trees to respawn became slow with the demand. Now that has been halved, from 60 seconds to 30 seconds for the next tree spawn. Finally, they’ve fixed an issue where the servers would kick players out of the game when morning arrived.

There are still a number of fixes and improvements in process. Among these are more stability fixes for the silent and server. This being the preorder head start, another of those matters is making sure everyone who is owedpreorder goodies actually receives them. If you are missing your lemur pet or cosmetics, the team is working on that. They’re also tuning Rogue Ships. Other issues include disappearing Death Marks, even if a player hasn’t died and audio and chat issues.

With the launch of a game many were skeptical about finally here, it’s good to see the team being responsive as they look to sail their big pirate adventure title over the finish line.
