Two Beloved Star Wars Video Game Characters May Soon Get The LEGO Treatment

While there may already be plenty of LEGO sets for the universe, two video game-exclusive characters may finally get the due as a joint set. The galaxy far, far away has become known as one of LEGO's standout sets thanks to the brand's blocky aesthetic fitting neatly with the franchise's vehicles and landscapes. Yet while plenty of very obscure characters have been immortalized as LEGO pieces, two iconic heroes have yet to earn the same treatment but this may fortunately be about to change.

Per a recent video posted to X (formerly Twitter) by UK to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the franchise's collaboration with LEGO, minifigures of both Cal Kestis and BD-1 can be seen at 02:08 deflecting blaster fire before chasing after a squadron of Stormtroopers.

While it shouldn't be taken as confirmation that the characters will soon be available as miniatures, it certainly does suggest that LEGO is developing some kind of product that includes the pair. Even the EA account commented on the post to call out the visual of the two characters.

While they may not have the legacy and reverence of Luke Skywalker and R2D2, Cal Kestis and BD-1 have stolen the hearts of many fans for their friendship and daring adventures. Played by Cameron Monaghan in both and its sequel, Cal Kestis is a renegade Jedi who takes up arms with the Rebels to help dismantle the Empire and destroy The Inquisitors, a group of sinister Force-Users. He's accompanied by his exploration droid BD-1 who's both a useful ally and a sympathetic ear for Cal's woes.

It's worth noting that while Cal Kestis has never been depicted as a LEGO Minifigure, BD-1 has received the full treatment in the form of a dedicated Minifig as well as a life-sized build of the tiny droid. The set comes with posable joints and an empty compartment to store Cal's healing stims, as well as an information display with various pieces of key info about the character.
