V Rising is out today on PlayStation 5, giving Stunlock Studios’ hit vampire survival sandbox its first console release.
Stunlock Games’ vampire themed survival crafting game, V Rising, launched out of early access on PC on May 8. While PC players have been building up their vampire castles, console fans have been waiting to find out when they’ll be able to sink their fangs into a game we found to be a bloodsucking good time.
The latest update for V Rising introduced a number of quality of life features, but the ability to craft from storage was not one of them, despite players' pleas to add it. Being able to store materials and have them automatically used without them being in the inventory is a highly requested feature in the survival crafting sub-genre. With multiple types of resources and storage containers, players were hopeful that it'd be added in V Rising's full launch update.
Vampire-themed survival game V Rising has fully launched with the completely new area Ruins of Mortium, new bosses, new mechanics, and more in update 1.0. After a 24-hour maintenance period, the update went live, and patch notes were released. The notes detail the new features, as well as quality of life changes to V Rising.
I have played a plethora of titles throughout my gaming career, especially those that fall into the MMORPG or Survival category. Very few of those titles can blend both MMORPG and survival together into one and keep me engaged for more than a few days. V Rising is one of those games you can simply get lost in for days at a time and very seldom get bored.
The official launch of vampire survival game V Rising is only days away, and with it comes a slew of anticipated changes. Meanwhile, some of the more nitty-gritty details of the saves and servers have been released ahead of the pre-launch maintenance.
In less than a week, V Rising 1.0 will finally be out, and developer Stunlock Studios is reminding us of that May 8th launch date with the official launch trailer.
