On release, developer Capcom introduced a number of items that players could purchase with real-world money, such as the Art of Metamorphosis — Character Editor DLC, which costs £1.69.

It is Capcom's biggest launch to date on the platform, which bodes well for Dragon Dogma's future as an RPG franchise.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is the first-ever Capcom game to surpass 200,000 concurrent players on Steam. This achievement further underlines the fantasy RPG's incredible launch weekend, which Dragon's Dogma 2 enjoyed in spite of some recent controversies.
Capcom took to the Steam forums to address Dragon's Dogma 2 player backlash after the game was review bombed.
