Today's Connections Hints & Answers For April 20, 2024 (Puzzle #313)

The weekend is finally here, time to sleep in, relax, and enjoy today's . There's nothing too difficult about the categories today, but they do have a few little misdirections. Luckily, we've already figured out today's answers and if you require a little cheat sheet, we've got you covered.

One of the best tips for playing a game of is to utilize the shuffle button provided by the game. Oftentimes, certain words will be automatically placed next to other words to force a false connection in your brain. One of the more notable examples of this is the February 7 where the entire top line consisted of SPONGE, BOB, SQUARE, and PANTS. This was almost a guaranteed wasted attempt for every player that day and really set the tone for the future. It's an important thing to look out for when beginning a new day.

Well, this whole category was just a CROCK! Only kidding, yellow was the first category we scored today with the obvious HOGWASH and HORSEFEATHERS leading the charge. There were a few other words in today's game that tried to trip us up as PITCHFORK, BOWLINE, and SHEEPSHANK were all two words that mix into one. Having five though doesn't fir the normal COnnections aesthetic so we were able to susu out that trick right away.

We scored the green category in third place today, with only eight words left it wasn't too difficult to see the connection. HURDLE and BATON were the two initial words we saw and the others made sense in the long run. We did expect the category to be something involving the Olympics, but track and field makes more sense.
