The next free Epic Games Store title has been confirmed

Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has been confirmed.

Islets, from developer Kyle Thompson and publisher Armor Games Studios, will be free to claim from Epic’s PC marketplace from March 28 to April 4.

“Take to the sky and reunite a fragmented world in this surprisingly wholesome metroidvania,” reads an official description of the game, which is normally priced at $19.99 / £16.75.

“Help Iko adventure across beautiful hand-painted islands, receive letters from a quirky cast of characters, and face powerful monstrous adversaries.”

Islets will replace open world fishing game Call of the Wild: The Angler and comic book superhero title Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, which are currently free to claim from the Epic Games Store until March 21.

The Epic Games Store launched its Spring Sale last week, which is running until March 28.

Featured discounts include EA Sports FC 24 for $13.99 / £11.99 / €13.99 (80% off), Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for $29.99 / £26.99 / €29.99 (40% off) and Skull and Bones for $44.99 / £37.49 / €44.99 (25% off).

Epic Games held its annual State of Unreal keynote at GDC on Wednesday, which featured the reveal of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.

The company also reiterated plans to bring Epic Games Store to mobile later this year, among other announcements.
