The First Descendant: How To Get The Tamer Machine Gun

The Tamer Machine Gun is one of the many weapons you can get in to help create a strong build for whichever character you're playing. Combining specific traits of Descendant characters with powerful weapons is at the core of this game's design. Those looking for a gun with great stats and a rapid rate of fire should consider searching for the Tamer during their adventures.

Remember that, unlike characters, you cannot use Caliber currency in to purchase the Tamer or any other weapon. Cosmetic Skins for weapons can be bought within the Shop for Caliber, but you won't be able to unlock various tools without progressing through the game. You'll have to rely on some luck to get the Tamer, which can take some time no matter what you do.

The Tamer Machine Gun is given out as a reward for completing missions in specific areas of the world, but you are never given a guaranteed chance of getting this weapon. Similar to farming Amorphous Material in , you can farm this item multiple times from the same few quests. Some versions you may collect will only be different through their elemental substats that change the Tamer's damage type.

The Tamer has a 50% chance to drop at the Abandoned Reconstruction Site in the Agna Desert or the Order's Occupied Facility in the White-Night Gulch area. Either location gives you an equal opportunity to farm the Tamer, so choose whichever spot you think has the easiest quests to complete. This rare gun uses General Rounds as ammo, which you may already have an abundance of for other weapons.

Remember that some areas of the game cannot be unlocked until you progress through a certain amount of the main story. You may have to reach certain parts of the campaign before you can reach the areas with the highest Tamer drop rates.
