Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC

Rhythm action game Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, Bandai Namco has announced.

The drum-based rhythm game was originally released on the Switch back in September 2022, and is now coming to other formats on November 7, 2024.

The PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC versions will support up to 120fps, which Bandai Namco says is a first for the series on home consoles.

It will also add new collaborative songs and mini characters which will be exclusive to the new versions.

For those new to the series, a demo has been released today on all platforms.

The full game will feature 76 songs. Players can also sign up to the Taiko Music Pass, a paid subscription service featuring access to more than 700 songs.

As well as the standard edition of the game, a special digital-only edition called The Setlist Edition will also be released.

This will feature the base game, an Anime Songs Collection (with 9 extra tracks), a Pops Collection (with 14 more tracks) and a Vocaloid Songs Collection (with another 9 tracks). All three DLC packs will also be available for individual sale.

Players who pre-order the game will also get a Namco Game Music Pack featuring five bonus tracks from classic Namco games, including Ridge Racer Type 4, Klonoa 2, Mr Driller Drill Land and Tales of the Abyss.

Pre-orders are also being taken for new drum controllers made by peripheral manufacturer Hori, which will be available in PS5 andXbox editions (both will work on Windows).
