At first glance, it looks a lot like a game operating in the same mode as, but is also pulling in a bit of 's over-the top flair and a lot of FromSoftware's nail-biting approach to action in

is being developed by the South Korean studio Shift Up, which found success in the mobile market through the now-defunct and ongoing Both of these titles have a heavy focus on character design and transparent fan service, which might not be a surprise when looking at the marketing for its newest game. represents Shift Up's first console venture, originally dubbed before Sony's involvement and the push of the game as a PS5 exclusive.

is set for release on April 26, 2024, close to a month after the March 29 debut of a demo on the PlayStation Store. Originally slated to come out in 2023, the game eventually missed its target window and landed on the new date in January of this year. Following a pattern set by other PlayStation exclusives, could also eventually come to PC, but any possible release in that department is likely to be a couple of years down the road.

When it comes to physical packages, there's only one way to buy, so anyone looking for extra goodies to put on a shelf is out of luck. On the digital end, however, has two options available. The Standard edition simply offers the base game at the typical AAA price of $69.99, while the Digital Deluxe raises the price to $79.99 to pack in a number of in-game extras.

Pre-ordering either edition of grants access to a few in-game bonuses as well, all of which come in the form of costume choices for Eve. A pair of glasses and earrings are fairly minor perks, while the full-body Planet Diving Suit is a bit more substantial as far as cosmetics go.
