Starfield Reaches New Level of Immersion on Consoles With New Interplanetary Travel Mod

Starfield has just been made much better on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, thanks to a new mod that finally allows seamless interplanetary travel.

The IMPROVED Sublight Engine Boost mod, which is also available on PC, not only allows seamless interplanetary travel between planets and moons but also introduces tweaks for ship engines to make traveling more enjoyable, such as giving every engine extended boost time to make ships accelerate to great speeds. The ship's speed depends on the mass of the ship itself and how many engines are attached, but only Starborn ships are the ones capable of traveling at the fastest speed.

While this Starfield mod is still in early development, online reports say it already works great, so bearing with some of its issues is definitely Worth it to make the game more immersive than ever. Hopefully, Bethesda will take note and introduce a proper interplanetary system in future updates.

Starfield was updated multiple times since its release last year, but the best is definitely yet to come, thanks to the annual story expansions Bethesda is planning to release. The first one, Shattered Space, will be set on a single planet and will be as big as Fallout 4's Far Harbor DLC.

Starfield is now available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about the game by checking out my review.
