Starfield Player Racks Up 227 Hours Without Sleeping or Eating In-Game

A Starfield player online has claimed an impressive achievement: playing 227 hours in the game without eating or sleeping a single time. They have been able to reach this milestone in the absence of a realistic Survival mode for Starfield.

Even when Bethesda games are at their worst, they still offer an extremely impressive amount of freedom for gamers to play however they'd like within the confines of the game world. Sometimes, this can lead people away from the main content of Bethesda titles, with players instead choosing to go their own way with challenges of their own. These can be smaller mini-challenges, all the way to finding new ways to beat the game. One Starfield player even managed to beat the game while only gun bashing in every fight, which certainly seems like it could be more trouble than it's worth.

Ant_6431 on Reddit shared their in-game stats with the community online, showing that they had managed to get 227 hours into Starfield without ever sleeping, waiting, or eating a single bit of food. Some in the thread pointed out that they could be missing out on some useful XP boosts, such as the 10% (15% when with a romanced companion) well-rested boost. However, given how far into the game Ant_6431 is, it's hard to imagine they're having too much trouble leveling up in Starfield.

One user in the thread suggested installing the Starvival mod, which introduces a Survival mode for Starfieldin the absence of an official Bethesda version. If they wanted a reason to be forced to eat and sleep during their playthrough, this could certainly be a viable option in the meantime. With Survival mode being introduced post-release in both Skyrim and Fallout 4, it's expected to make a return to Starfield soon. Whether this player takes Bethesda up on the option to use it is another matter entirely.
