Starfield Next Update To Introduce Land Vehicles; Leaked Screenshots Showcases Black Buggy – Rumor

Starfield's next update is apparently going to add the land vehicles that were talked about a while back to aid players in their exploration endeavors.

As reported on the NoSodiumStarfield subreddit, buggies are coming in the next update, which will launch on a yet to be confirmed date. The buggies will come in two variants and are two passengers only, with a third optional passenger slot left for Vasco. NPCS from rescue missions will also be able to ride the buggy. Both buggy variations will have their weapons, a laser mode with slowdown and a launcher, and they will scale depending on the player's certified skills.

In addition, the new Starfield land vehicles will be easy to obtain and transport around, as just buying them from the ship technicians will make them spawn near the ship. Sadly, customization options seem to be limited to colors, as anything that will sport a new part will essentially be considered a new vehicle. Lastly, the leaker said that buggies seem to be working well, unlike Skyrim's horses, so it seems like they will be a more than viable way to explore the game's many planets.

Alongside the leaked information, a screenshot showcasing one of the buggies that are supposedly coming to Starfield in the next update was shared online, giving slightly more validity to a 4chan leak that wouldn't have been considered reliable otherwise. Still, it's best to take everything with a grain of salt until an official confirmation comes in.

Starfield is now available on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Learn more about the game by checking out my review.
