Stardew Valley Releases Hotfix Update to Fix Crashing Issue

Stardew Valley has rolled out a hotfix update to the farming sim game to address a recent issue resulting in game crashes. Since its 2016 debut, the beloved farming game has been credited as one of the biggest titles in the explosion in popularity of farming sims within the indie game market. Stardew Valley offers a wealth of content for players beyond their in-game farms, with dungeon-like caves to explore, a romance system, and plenty of diverse and unique NPCs to meet. Stardew Valley made waves last month with the release of the game's highly-anticipated 1.6 update, adding plenty of new things to do in the game. The update introduced multiple new seasonal festivals to the game, new food items, and even a new type of farm for players to use in Stardew Valley. ConcernedApe announced at the time that a hotfix was already in the works for the issue, revealing that the fix would be released within an hour of his announcement on Twitter. Players were advised to turn off the resort or wait for the patch, in order to not be met with an in-game crash before the hotfix went live.

The hotfixes come as the most recent of plenty of fixes to Stardew Valley following its most recent major update. ConcernedApe has released multiple smaller iterations for the newest update, fixing bugs and even adding some new content to the game beyond the 1.6 update. Update 1.6.4 introduced multiple
