Stardew Valley Gets Huge Discount for Limited Time

Stardew Valley has a 50% discount right now, costing only $7.50 on Steam. Stardew Valley is arguably the most popular farming sim in the world, and this is a perfect opportunity for gamers to try it if they have never played it before.

Stardew Valley was originally released in 2016 by Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. By combining a solid farming gameplay loop with a cozy village and charismatic characters, Stardew Valley became a huge hit. Over the years, Stardew Valley sold over 20 million copies, and greatly influenced the farming simulation genre, inspiring several other popular games.

Now, the popular farming sim is being sold at a 50% discount on Steam to commemorate its 8-year anniversary. The discount puts the official price of Stardew Valley at $7.50 (down from the original $15), and will only last for 24 hours, ending on February 27 at 10:00am PST. The 50% discount is available in all regions where the game is sold. However, gamers should be aware that regional prices still apply.

This is the perfect time to purchase the game, as ConcernedApe recently revealed that Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update will be released on March 19 for PC. Unfortunately, console and mobile players will have to wait a bit longer, as these platforms still do not have an official release date for the update.

The 1.6 update for Stardew Valley will be massive, introducing many new features to the game. Some of the already confirmed improvements include over 100 new lines of dialogue, extended endgame content, new crops, enhanced mod support, and even seasonal outfits for the citizens of Pelican Town. Aside from new content, the 1.6 update will fix several bugs. Fortunately, most players will be able to experience the new content without having to start a new save game. However, ConcernedApe recommends anyone who wants to experience everything in context to start a new file.

Overall, it seems like 2024 will be an excellent year for the Stardew Valley community. Hopefully, the upcoming update will
