Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Adding Honeymoon Period and Making Another Clever Change

Stardew Valley creator Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has confirmed that Update 1.6 will be adding a honeymoon period and making a change to jelly, pickles, wines, and juices. Fans have been waiting months for Update 1.6 to hit Stardew Valley, and the wait is nearly at an end — for PC players, at least.

PC players have first dibs on Stardew Valley Update 1.6, which is scheduled to arrive on the platform come Tuesday, March 19. Stardew Valley Update 1.6 will come to other platforms at a later date, though fans on mobile and consoles still don't know exactly when they will get to try the update out for themselves. The new Stardew Valley update is going to be a substantial one, and so many fans are excited to see what all it's bringing to the table.

ConcernedApe has been slowly revealing one new patch note for Stardew Valley Update 1.6 each day in the lead-up to its PC launch on March 19. The newest patch notes, revealed on March 15 and March 16, have confirmed that Stardew Valley will be adding a new honeymoon period for spouses and will be changing jelly, pickles, wines, and juices so that their color matches the ingredient item used to create them.

This should ensure that Stardew Valley marriages remain happy affairs for at least one in-game week.

These are just the latest changes confirmed to be coming in Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Previously, ConcernedApe revealed that the update will make a change to fruit tree saplings so that cutting down a fruit tree now yields the appropriate fruit sapling. Additionally, the area of effect for downward-facing melee attacks is being extended, and a bug making it so harvesting left-to-right was faster than
