Star Wars Outlaws Perfectly Sets Up A Bounty Hunter Spinoff

already has the perfect setup for a spinoff. Okay, maybe it's a little too early to start thinking about sequels, but this is — almost everything is a trilogy, or a multi-season TV show.Kay Vess may be the new kid on the block, but there's a dire need for more stories in the scoundrel space of the galaxy, and provides the perfect starting point.

That's true enough of its blend of stealth-action gameplay and the setting, but even has the perfect sequel setup inherent in its story. The big reveal doesn't come until the very end, but it makes for an excellent cliffhanger, and could easily play a major role in a future installment.

Dee Bradley Baker and Jay Rincon sit down with Screen Rant to discuss their roles and the surprises they discovered while making Star Wars Outlaws.

Near the end of, Kay retrieves a codex containing dirt on various high-ranking members of the Empire. She gives this to the bounty hunter Vail, recommending she use the information inside to start her own business. This creates the perfect setup for a sequel heavily featuring bounty hunters — either Vail herself, or a group of contractors working for her. The concept of hunting down various Empire officers and holding them accountable for their crimes is irresistible.

It's also the perfect framework for a Ubisoft-developed stealth-action game. The games often feature conspiracy networks that players must chip away at with their limited intel, each new branch revealing new information about the next. A sort of Imperial burn book lays the groundwork necessary for a similar mechanic to be introduced in a sequel.

It may be ambitious, but a spinoff could build enormously on the formula introduced by its predecessor, introducing various new mechanics to expand this particular corner of the universe. For one thing, if it stars a network of bounty hunters established by Vail, that could necessitate a robust
