Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gets Rated for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One

Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor might be nearing its launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The news comes from the Brazilian rating board, spotted by Twitter/X user @the_marmolade.

Electronic Arts announced in August 2023 that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would be released for eighth-generation consoles after all. Originally, the action/adventure game was billed as exclusive for the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.

It had been nearly a year since we got any update, though. Some fans were legitimately wondering if it would ever happen. While that's certainly good news, as more gamers will be able to play the game, there's also the performance factor to consider.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was famously problematic in this regard, especially on PC. Respawn Entertainment has released several performance updates post-launch, though some issues remain to this day.

That said, the game itself is pretty good. It earned 8.3 out of 10 in Wccftech's review by Kai Tatsumoto:

While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a surprise journey when it was first released, the time spent apart hasn’t made Cal Kestis’ adventures any less enjoyable. A similar framework in unfamiliar territories helps to establish Jedi: Survivor as a quality sequel to the original release. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor still plays it safe in comparison to the prior game. It may be difficult to give Jedi: Survivor full marks for its individuality, but compared to the predecessor focused on Cal’s time as a Jedi Padawan, each title can stand up on its own merits, and Jedi: Survivor polishes up much of the experience as it propels the narrative ever forward on Cal Kestis’ journey to Tanalorr.

A third and possibly final game in the saga is in the works, as revealed by actor Cameron Monaghan, who voices and lends his likeness to protagonist Cal Kestis. It'll likely be at least two to three years before it can be released,
