Star Wars Jedi: Survivor appears to be rolling out on EA Play

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor seems to be in the process of making its way to EA Play.

As noted on X by Wario64 (and verified by VGC), a number of regions on the PlayStation 5 Store have started listing the game as “included with EA Play”.

This has yet to be reflected on Xbox or PC, but assuming the change isn’t an error it appears it will be rolling out to those versions of EA Play soon.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor “is coming to the Play List on April 25, 2024, for all EA Play members”, according to Xbox.

EA Play subscribers have access to a library of archive EA titles, including the game’s predecessor Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, for a monthly fee.

Games are usually added to EA Play some time after their release, and given that Jedi: Survivor was released on April 28, 2023 – meaning nearly a year has passed since its release – its addition to EA Play would make sense.

EA announced last week that it will be raising the price of EA Play starting in May.

The standard EA Play tier is rising from $4.99 / £3.99 per month to $5.99 / £5.99, with the annual fee increasing from $29.99 / £19.99 to $39.99 / £35.99.

EA Play is also included as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, meaning subscribers to the Xbox service should also get access to Jedi: Survivor if and when it’s added to EA Play.

VGC’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor review called the game “Star Wars at its very best”, and “a thrilling adventure with a stellar cast tied together with smart, expansive combat, and huge new worlds to explore”.

“Performance issues aside, it’s easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made and only makes us wants more tales from the adventures of Cal Kestis and BD-1,” we said.
