Star Wars: Hunters - Release Date, Platforms, Characters, & Gameplay
Zynga's finally has a release date after years of delays. The arena shooter was announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation on February 17, 2021, and was originally planned for a release later that year, but this kept getting pushed back as Zynga wanted to ensure the game met expectations.
sees players forming teams of four to engage in third-person combat across a range of adventurous battlegrounds based upon iconic worlds. There are several original characters created for the game who are inspired by classes and droids players should recognize from the universe, with a roster comprised of heroes of the Rebellion, Imperial stormtroopers, droids, and more. The title is set to take place sometime between and , setting it somewhere between 5 ABY and 34 ABY on the timeline.
As per a post by the official Zynga X account, that accompanies a new trailer for the game, will launch on June 4, 2024. The title is free-to-play, and players can pre-download it now.
will be released on both Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch players who play the game at launch will unlock the exclusive Shift Veteran costume and Shift Blaster wrap.
Players can also pre-register on the official website for exclusive rewards.
Thirteen playable characters have been revealed for so far across Damage, Tank, and Support classes, with more clearly to come as the official website still sports a "" section under its Characters section. These include unrelenting bounty hunters, rebel war heroes, Jawas, droids, Sith assassins, and more.
