Sony’s Dark Horror Game By Firesprite Potentially Releasing on PC Day One

It's no secret that PlayStation has a ton of unannounced projects being developed, with one of them being developed by Firesprite. This game is set to be a single-player narrative horror. At the moment, there is no real information about this project.

Firesprite was obtained by Sony in 2021, with leaks and rumors regarding this project dropping over the years. This includes an internal document, revealing the code name for the project to be "Heartbreak." Whether that still remains true is uncertain.

Colin Moriarty, an insider has claimed in a podcast from Last Stand Media that the game could possibly be set on an island, with a female protagonist. However, apart from that, we don't know a whole lot about the game, and what stage of development it is in.

Despite that, there are still leaks that have a huge amount of information in them, which could explain a lot about the unannounced project.

One of the main hints about Firesprite's project is the website of Firesprite's Game Designer, Emily Stell who lists the project as a "narrative horror game," with the platforms listed being PlayStation 5 and PC. In addition to this, it says that it is being made by using Unreal Engine 5. It isn't unheard of for PlayStation exclusives to be ported to PC, as we have seen Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 1 and Returnal come to PC in recent years.

In addition to Emily Stell's page, the resume for Firesprite writer Ren Alex-Rose who worked for Firesprite from 2022 until April of 2024 suggests that she worked on designing characters and plot lines "within pre-established IP," which seems to confirm some suspicions.

There is also speculation that the game isn't a unique IP, but a new game coming to an existing IP. This has been suggested by Jason Schreier, who hinted at it on Reddit. At the moment, we don't know what horror IP
