Sims 2 Fan Gets Old Gaming Computer from Mom and Makes Hilarious Discovery

A Sims 2 fan and gamer recently received their mom's old gaming PC, and discovered that she had tons of custom content and an unusual family addition to her played household. The player's Sims 2 discovery is igniting nostalgia among fellow fans and may even help to recover custom content that's been long gone from the internet.

The Sims 2 was an enormously popular life sim game, building upon the success and fandom the first game in the series had established four years prior. While most fans are eagerly looking at leaks from The Sims 5, currently in development, many still enjoy this older title, with some even preferring its gameplay to the current Sims 4. However, funny moments and modding The Sims goes back to the first title, and this mom's save is no different.

Reddit user persephonezgrvyrd shared a screenshot of their mom's Sims 2 household, revealing The Landry family, consisting of an affectionate couple and the legendary Bigfoot. The OP says they've been «wheezing» over the discovery, and many more players and fans have joined in, laughing at the sight of Bigfoot awkwardly standing in the back of the otherwise normal family portrait. Persephonezgrvyrd notes that their mother was extremely fond of gaming, even going so far as to research answers to problems by driving to local GameStop stores to read strategy guides.

While adding Bigfoot to a Sims 2 household is possible with an expansion and without mods, fellow fans have also been eager to learn that the installation has a lot of custom content installed. Unfortunately, as the years have gone by since the game's heyday, many sites containing custom content made by fans have disappeared from the internet, meaning that persephonezgrvyrd's game may hold files that haven't been available publicly in a very long time. Several players asked if persephonezgrvyrd could share the Sims 2 custom content online, to which they have been receptive.
