Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance - How To Beat Daisoujou (Weakness & Resistances)

Daisoujou is an optional boss faced during a quest given to you by Sophia in , but this opponent can be hard to beat unless you know their one weakness. Every enemy in the game has certain resistances and vulnerabilities you can exploit to win fights. The ones you can use against Daisoujou are limited, but more than enough to take this boss down.

You can locate Daisoujou in the World of Shadows near the Tennouzu Leyline, but you should not challenge this boss until you are at a high enough Level. Since this enemy is optional, you'll have time to recruit demons or find Miman collectibles in to help raise XP to an appropriate amount. Wait until you reach Level 31 or above to consider challenging Daisoujou with your team.

Mitama are some of SMT V: Vengeance's most frustrating demons. With 4 variants and randomized affinities, you will need an item to defeat them.

The only weakness Daisoujou has is to Fire damage, making demons like Hua Po and Ameno Uzume great choices for your team. Hua Po has powerful Fire skills like Agni, while Ameno Uzume has some Fire abilities along with healing moves that can support other members of your party. Similar to facing the Trumpeter in , you need at least one demon responsible for attacking Daisoujou over and over.

As you can see, Daisoujou is a fast opponent who relies on Magic and Luck to take down foes, with resistance to every type of ailment your team could inflict. This makes this boss a massive DPS check, where you have to deal as much Fire and Physical damage as possible quickly to defeat it. Do not bother trying to use Light or Dark elemental attacks to deal damage, as Daisoujou
