Seekers of Skyveil To Move Entirely To Steam And Remove NDA

Seekers of Skyveil announced this week via its Discord that it’ll be moving from an independent launcher to Steam—and it’s eager to bring its entire player base along. 

Calling itself a “PvPvE extraction fantasy RPG,” Seekers of Skyveil is made by Elodie Studios, a studio founded by former high-level Riot Game developers aiming to “build crossplay co-op gaming better.” The game is currently running a series of Closed Alpha playtests, bound at the moment by NDAs, with small windows for players to join. 

With the move to Steam, anyone who played in or even signed up to play in these Closed Alpha tests will be given a key to play, with the first Steam Closed Alpha play window taking place on Leap Day, this February 29th. Plus, the devs claim that they’ll be removing the NDA bit of their closed tests, calling it “more of a burden than a helper” and explaining that transparent development and feedback will be better. 

Seekers of Skyveil used the Accelbyte launcher, but that’ll be “deprecated” by March. For any of those lucky enough to have been there, unfortunately, rewards won’t be carried over to Steam accounts due to a lack of migration. 

The Steam Store page for Seekers of Skyveil is already up. Aside from small gameplay clips and self-descriptions of the game, we don’t have many details on Seekers of Skyveil, which sort of looks like a sibling to League of Legends at the moment. More will definitely come out once that NDA lifts on the Closed Alpha tests, though.
