Samsung Rumored To Bring ‘Battery AI’ To Its Galaxy S25 Series, Boosting The Total Backup By Up To 10 Percent At The Same Performance Level

The Galaxy S24 lineup was introduced with Samsung’s first AI-powered software suite called Galaxy AI. Given that the new models accounted for 53 percent of the Korean giant’s Q1 2024 operating profit, many would conclude that these features would be one reason for their popularity. Unfortunately, based on a separate rumor, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will disappoint in the battery department, as it sticks with the same 5,000mAh battery as previous-generation models. However, Samsung intends to raise that backup by up to 10 percent with something called ‘Battery AI.’

Rumor claims that ‘Battery AI’ could eliminate the non-essential tasks running on the Galaxy S25 series to increase the total backup

Judging by the name, Battery AI could be an intelligent feature baked into the next version of Galaxy AI that increases the overall runtime without affecting the smartphone’s performance. PandaFlash has mentioned on X that an unnamed source informed him of this feature, and users can experience between 5-10 percent increase in the total runtime. Battery-boosting software has existed for years now, with a multitude of programs available for both smartphones and laptops.

Unfortunately, these tend to crush performance by downclocking the CPU and GPU, whereas, in other cases, the software does not achieve anything at all. In some scenarios, the 5G modem’s maximum throughput is also limited, nullifying the entire point of running these programs on your devices. While PandaFlash was not informed in-depth on how Battery AI will work, he assumes that the feature will ‘eliminate’ unnecessary background tasks that use up system resources to deliver a longer backup.

Interestingly, the tipster does not mention anywhere that Battery AI will arrive for the Galaxy S25 series.
