Rumor: Popular Call of Duty: Warzone Feature Is Coming to Fortnite Creative

Players will be able to enable proximity chat in Fortnite's Creative game mode soon. In the early days, Fortnite was exclusively a PvE game through Save the World, though things wouldn't really take off until the Battle Royale game mode arrived a few months later. As the game's popularity increased, Epic Games decided to explore more options with Fortnite. The Playground game mode was a hit, as it allowed fans to create their matches with a small group of friends and customize certain features, such as fall damage and friendly fire, in order to have fun on Athena island, the OG Fortnite map.

Given the success of Playground mode, Epic took things further, and turned it into Creative, one of the most popular Fortnite game modes. Creative has evolved to a point that studios have started developing games exclusively in Fortnite with the UEFN (Unreal Engine for Fortnite) tool. Even though Fortnite became popular thanks to its Battle Royale, its other game modes are just as complex and bring in thousands of players daily, which is why Epic Games continues to add new content with regular patches and focuses on them just as much.

On April 9, version 29.20 went live and as soon as the update was out, dataminers got to work in order to share with the community everything that was added to the game with the most recent patch. Leakers shared that proximity chat would be coming to Fortnite's Creative mode. It is unknown when the feature will go live, but since it was added to the game files, it might be implemented sooner rather than later. On the other hand, players have been waiting for the Kratos skin to return to Fortnite for a while now, and even though it was added to the Item Shop tabs a few weeks ago, it still hasn't made a comeback.
